Hunting Games to Play

One of the most popular hunting games to play is Cabela’s Big Game Hunter. Released in late 2007 by Activision Minneapolis, it is the latest installment of the popular hunting game series.

Cabela’s Big Game Hunter is available for Play Station 2, Xbox 360, Wii and PC and transports the player to 32 different locations in various areas of the United States, New Zealand, Africa, Argentina and others.

The game boasts of a huge variety of species to hunt such as elk, moose, caribon, kudu, red stag, grizzly bear and more. Some animals will even attack when threatened. It is a heart-pounding game that features authentic weapons and equipment, unlockable* missions and visceral excitement that engages hunting fans of all ages.

Cabela’s Big Game Hunter has improved mechanics such as hunter’s sense, adrenaline mode and stealth. It also features advanced animal behavior that is based on actual research including sight, speed, daily routines and feeding patterns for authentic game play action.

Other special in-game feature is a bullet-cam that allows you to see your shot travel to its destination, x-ray scopes so you can line up the perfect shot, custom log cabin for your Trophy Room and an advanced scoring system.

Another game to check out in our hunting games to play is Ultimate Duck Hunting, a 3D, multi-play PC game produced by Mid Carolina Media. The game simulates the sport of duck hunting and unlike other hunting games, allows the player to train his own hunting dog so that he can retrieve the birds he has shot.

The training is based on proven methods and adds fun and excitement to the game. Ultimate Duck Hunting is divided into five stages and is very realistic with the dog having his own intelligence; he gets fatigued and will sometimes not obey commands.

Deer Hunter 5: Tracking Trophies is another exciting game on our hunting games to play list. Developed by Sylum Entertainment and Sunstorm Interactive, the game is very realistic and features an expanded virtual season that allows players to manage their deer herd over as many years with realistic genetics and deer growth.

Players will not be alone in the virtual woods even when playing as a single player as computer-controlled “bot” hunters roam the woods attracting and spooking the same deer that the player is after. Deer Hunter 5 also features new animals such as elk, grizzly bear and black bear which expand the challenge to players, with some animals capable of hunting the players. The game further features seven hunting locations.

A fourth game on our hunting games to play is Cabela’s Trophy Bucks that is available in PC, Xbox 360 and Wii. The game features 24 locations in a fast-paced hunting action that will give you a chance to hunt for 11 species of trophy deer such as Whitetail, Rocky Mountain Mule Deer, Sitka, Desert Mule Deer, Columbian Black Tail and more.

There are 96 missions and all new hunts including calling in turkeys from a blind, scaring up pheasants with a hunting dog and long-range varmint hunting. You can even compete in over 20 shooting competitions based on real-life tournaments.

*The term “unlockable games” refers to full video games that can be unlocked within another videogame, often as Easter eggs.
